DESCRIPTION: This is the next step in your defensive/tactical training, following Critical Carry - Levels 1 & 2 (perquisite ).  Classroom portion will be on the range, integrated with shooting and movement drills. Material covered includes safety, foundational skills, pistol manipulation, clearing malfunctions and getting back in the fight as well as defensive shooting, shooting from the ground, and shooting from concealment.

PREREQUSITES:  There will be a brief skills assessment in the beginning to ensure you can safely draw your pistol from the holster/re-holster. We reserve the right to assign you to a later class if your skills are not safe/up to speed for this class.

 

GEAR REQUIREMENTS:

• Gun

• Two magazines

• 200 rounds of range ammo (FMJ)

• Sturdy Belt

• Pants/skirt with belt loops

• Closed toe shoes (no flipflops/sandals)

• Shirt with high neckline (no tanks or low cuts)

• Hat with brim recommended.

• Strong side holster, preferred OWB (unless loaner equipment has been arranged). Appendix IWB is accepted. No Serpa Holsters

• At least one magazine holder, preferred double holder (2 magazines)

• Ear/Eye protection

• Suitable outdoor garments for weather (we shoot rain/shine)

• Notebook/pen/pencil for notes

• Water/snacks 

• Folding chair

Please note that this is a physically demanding course with extensive amounts of shooting, moving and pistol manipulation. Full focus and attention to detail is completely necessary. You will be occupied loading magazines and taking notes between shooting drills. We shoot rain or shine so please prepare for the elements of the day.
